The garden train in scale 1 of Jaime Ruz
There are miniature trains in large and small scales. One of the smallest scales is 1/220th (Z) scale. One of the largest scales is1/32 scale (I). The best platform for a model railway for large locomotives and trains is certainly a garden railway or a garden train. There are beautiful models not only in Europe, but also in Chile - in particular Jaime Ruz's garden train.
Jaime lives in Requínoa, a town near the city of Rancagua, central Chile. He built the model in a section of his garden and has a dog-bone configuration 45 metres long. There is a sector from the station to the centre, where there are four tracks. In total there are 112 metres of Peco track (for now). Twice a year Jaime meets his friends from the Marklin group in the garden. They all bring their scale 1 trains and have a spectacular day! This video from Pilentum Television presents the model railway and the electric trains.
Jaime is an ophthalmologist surgeon and a passionate model railway enthusiast. There will be another video with Jaime's special buildings on Pilentum Television. In his spare time Jaime manages a page on Instagram. There are wonderful pictures!
